Months 1-3 of Brylea's life
These first three months of Ms. Brylea's life has been absolutely crazy in a good way. The first month was filled with love and visitors from family and friends. We love showing off our baby girl and we are so proud to be parents. She slept a lot and only cried when she was hungry or needed to be changed.

With MeemawThat month went by very fast and during that month we decided that with Brylea coming a long and a new job opportunity for Justin we were going to move from our first house in Little Elm to a new house in Mckinney. So on top of having a new born we were busy getting our house ready to be put on the market. We were very blessed to have our wonderful friends take all of us in, dogs included, as we make this transition.
During her 2nd and 3rd month of life we watched Brylea's personality bloom. She is full of smiles and laughter. We made visits to Killeen for Uncle Juniors Graduation and just recently for 4th of July.

We stay busy during the day with Stroller Strides, pool days, and play dates.
We sold our house quick but won't be moving into our new house until August. We are very excited on the new house and the memories that will be made there. Brylea has been such a blessing and everyday has been an adventure!

Our Birth Story
At about 12:00 am I woke up with very bad back pain. At first I thought it was just pregnancy pain so I just kept trying to find a comfortable position. After about an hour of tossing and turning I decided to get up and "walk it off." That didn't help and the pain was increasing and becoming more frequent. When I realized that the only ways to somewhat release the pain was to get into the birthing positions we learned in our birthing class I yelled for Justin to call the on call Doctor. The on call Doctor, Dr. Allen, advised us to go ahead and go to the hospital. On the way out Justin and I were debating on whether or not to grab our bags because we weren't sure if this would be it or not. In the car I could feel the contractions and timed them at about 5 minutes apart. At about 3:00 we get to the hospital and they admitted me right away(good thing we grabbed our bags!). At about 3:30 I was all hooked up and the epidural was in. I was only 4 cm dialated and my water had not broke yet.
At about 7:30 am Dr. Allen came in and broke my water. I wasn't dialated much more than earlier so she decided to break my water to help speed things up. At this time we started to call friends and family to let them know that our baby girl is making her way. That is when we realized that she would be an Easter Baby! Time passed with not much progress and the nurse, Kristina, told us that she was facing towards my hip and that we needed to work on trying to move her in the right position. I was put in the most awkward positions to try to move Ms. Brylea. In the positions that I was put in, the epidural would run to one side of my body and I could feel the contractions on the other side. I have a lot of respect to those brave mommies that go through that pain without the help of meds.
After hours of waiting Dr. Allen came in and gave me pitocin to try to move things along. It felt like every time we thought it would be close to pushing, someone would tell us we would have to wait a couple more hours. A couple more hours came and gone several times and at about 6:00 pm they told me that it was about time to start pushing!! After all day of waiting we were ready!! Pushing was the easy part. After several pushes the team of nurses came in ready to take care of our precious angel. She finally arrived at 6:24pm and she was absolutely perfect even with her cone head that she got from being stuck in my pelvis for so long.
