Prego Pictures

Here are the pictures that I took in Brylea's room through out my pregnancy. It was fun to see both Brylea's room and me change! :)

Our Pregnancy Story

I wasn't sure where to start with our Blog, so I thought I would start from the very beginning of our journey...our pregnancy. So here's all of it in a nut shell...

Justin and I had always planned on waiting to have a baby around our 5 year anniversary. I always thought I would be pregnant or about to pop when we hit our anniversary, but of course the big 5 came and went with no luck.  We were starting to worry and decided to make an appointment with a fertility doctor to see what our next step should be. A week before our appointment, after being on several trips and several days "late," I took a pregnancy test...and it was POSITIVE!  Finally, after countless negative tests, a year of praying, crying, and planning, it was positive.  We were ecstatic and nervous all at the same time, and by April 18th we would be welcoming Baby Novella into the world.

The next step on our list was to tell our parents. We told my parents through face time and having my mom read a onsie that said I heart my grandma in Korean. It took them a little while to process it, but they were just as excited as we were. Then we told Justin's parents in Maryland at a family event.
Here is the video...sorry it is not the best resolution.

We were very excited about our new expanding family!  We jumped head first into planning the baby's room way before we even knew what the gender was.  We had a boy plan and a girl plan. So when it was time to figure out what the gender was, we made it a big deal. We had the sonogram picture of the gender in an envelope and had our good friend Eric (Kimchee) put either pink or blue balloons in a box and take pictures of us opening up the box.

Here is the envelope and our 2nd sonogram pictures.

Our gender reveal!

We had several great baby showers and have been very busy getting the bedroom for our baby girl ready. It was amazing to see and feel her kicks.  I think that my favorite thing other than feeling her move was watching Justin and I become closer and seeing the joy of anticipation from my husband.

Our "Welcome to the World" Tree for Brylea.
It went to all my baby showers and everyone added their thumb print.

 Can you see her move?

Who would have thought that at 37 weeks and 3 days we would be welcoming our precious baby girl into the world and becoming a family of 3. That day would be the most amazing Easter Sunday that we have ever had.
